Financial Planning
The financial plan addresses the following questions:
- How much will it cost us to live in retirement?
- What will our income sources be in retirement?
- How much income will we have in retirement?
- How much money will be available for ‘extras’?
The first step is to establish what it costs you to live now, then consider how this will change in retirement. The financial plan is the interface between your retirement goals and the money issues.
We are of the opinion that to do this right you need a financial planner.
John's approach is to:
- Dove-tail the financial plan with the retirement plan
- Help you understand your goals & objectives
- Analyze your situation and help you set planning priorities
- Discuss the various options available to you
- Organize and implement your plans
- Review and update these plans
- Act as a sounding board and provide an objective opinion
- Help you avoid the stress created by procrastination
A good CFP® can act as the Chief Financial Officer in family decisions, assess financial consequences of life decisions you make and act as a sounding board (referee) in family discussions.
